Dec, 2024 - The great treasure run

The Great Treasure Run, organized by JITO Youth Wing, was a spectacular event brimming with energy, excitement, and camaraderie. With 60 enthusiastic participants and 10 dedicated volunteers, the event blended fun and adventure seamlessly. The participants were divided into six teams, each identified by a unique color and wore color-coded t-shirts that added vibrancy to the atmosphere. The event began and concluded at Grid Ahmedabad, a newly opened pasta bar in the CREDAI Building, where a delightful high tea was hosted for participants and volunteers. Several brands along Sindhu Bhavan Road partnered with the event, including Moi – The Dessert Studio, which delighted participants with chocolates and strawberries; Bomaavhi, which provided t-shirts for teams to paint, with Team Pink winning the “Best T-shirt” competition; Danny, which kept everyone hydrated with free coffees; and other supporting brands like Mortantra, Sphinx, Ballers and Mauve. Teams competed in a treasure hunt, solving intriguing clues at various locations. Teams competed to solve intriguing clues across various locations, with one standout clue being:

“A fine-dine spot, its name is a hue,

A five-letter word, take that as your que.

Be quick, you are almost there,

You’ve cracked clues, of your fair share.”

In the end, Team White emerged victorious, claiming the first prize of ₹10,000, while Team Black secured second place with ₹5,000. The event concluded on a high note, with participants praising the well-organized treasure hunt and the exciting challenges it offered. Special acknowledgments were extended to JITO Ahmedabad for their unwavering support, After-Hours (Mallika and Sakshi) for their valuable contributions and Grid Ahmedabad for hosting the event. The energy and dedication of the committee members and past chairperson Sarvaswa were instrumental in making this event a success.

The Great Treasure Run, held from 4 PM to 7 PM, was a memorable journey of laughter, teamwork and friendly competition that truly reflected the spirit of JITO Youth, with hopes to host many more such events in the future.
