The seminar titled "The Art and Science of Export and Import," organized by JLW Ahmedabad under the leadership of Krina Shah, took place on July 29th at AMA. This insightful and empowering event was attended by members from JLW, JYW, JBN, and the Ahmedabad Chapter, totalling 40 enthusiastic participants who actively engaged in the interactive session.

Dr. Jagat Shah, the speaker, emphasized the simplicity of exporting products or services through the proper procedures. He highlighted the crucial role of women in contributing to the nation’s GDP and overall development. One of the key messages was that exporting can be initiated with minimal investment, starting from as little as ₹10,000.

Addressing safety concerns, Dr. Shah provided comprehensive solutions. For instance, damage to goods can be mitigated with marine insurance, and payment defaults can be managed through credit insurance such as ECGC. Quality assurance is ensured via SGS and inspection insurance, while currency fluctuations can be hedged with Bank Forward Rate Agreements.

Participants left the seminar feeling empowered and equipped with the knowledge and confidence to expand their businesses into international markets, buoyed by the practical insights shared during the event.
